Chairman
Ron Hill
“I am excited to serve as Chairman of the Son Cast Media Board. It’s incredibly rewarding to be involved with a venture that is taking eternal truths of scripture to a technology-driven culture. Son Cast is reaching up and reaching out to God and for God by combining cutting edge communications’ technologies with God’s Holy Word. It’s not often in today’s world that you find organizations with an attitude of servant-hood, but that’s just the attitude I’ve found at Son Cast. Jodi and her team are doing their part to fulfill the Great Commission by making and strengthening disciples worldwide for Jesus, the living Christ. It is my personal goal to do everything in my power to help them succeed by helping them grow the Board, and helping find other like-minded Christians who wish to join in the Son Cast mission.” —Ron Hill
Ron Hill brings experience in a variety of relevant professional positions to his role as Chairman of the Son Cast Board of Directors. Ron’s publishing experience includes serving as Executive Editor of ProfitAbility Publishing, where he was responsible for developing the editorial content for their website, ProfitAbility Magazine® and all customized sales and media kits, telemarketing scripts, and press releases. Previous to this role, he founded and managed Hillview Lake Publishing Company while serving as CEO, and received three national awards for excellence in publishing. Ron also has professional sales, international sales, and marketing experience, and has tenure as a high school teacher at Minor Christian School. Ron earned a BS degree in Religion in 1975 from Samford University and is presently an Independent Sales Agent for AusomeAire, LLC and Advanced Electronics. |

Secretary/Treasurer
Nancy McMeekin
“I believe strongly in the capacity of new media—in particular the Web—to reach and to touch individuals in ways we can’t yet imagine. It is very exciting for me to help Son Cast,
via the EtL Café, offer a unique framework for young women of faith to connect and to find answers to some of the spiritual and practical questions in their lives. We can give these women a virtual community in which to grow their faith, as well as resources for guidance and support on which they can rely regardless of their location or the time of day. In a world in which quiet times for study and reflection come at odd hours, having a resource that is ‘always there’ can be comforting and offer much-needed help for busy young women. And with more resources to be developed for other segments of the population, I can’t wait to see where Son Cast will go in the years ahead.” —Nancy McMeekin
Nancy McMeekin has more than 30 years of experience in publishing. Currently she is President and CEO of Oakstone Publishing, an award-winning, Birmingham-based publisher of continuing medical education products for doctors. Through Oakstone’s membership in the Specialized Information Publishers Association, Nancy has served on its Board of Directors, and also as President of the international organization in 2006-2007. Prior to Oakstone, Nancy was a founder of Louisiana Life Magazine, winner of the National Magazine Award given by the Magazine Publishers Association and the Columbia University School of Journalism, as well as winner of the Regional Magazine of the Year Award. She has also taught journalism at the University of Montevallo and worked in public relations for the University as well as for the New Orleans Symphony and other organizations. |

Lew Burdette
“Every day I see first hand the suffering of broken youth, women and children, so when Jodi McMillian came and shared with me her vision for Son Cast Media, I immediately grasped the potential for what she aims to provide. Initially reaching out to young women, I think Son Cast will fill a void that surprisingly still exists…a place where women can come and be filled with spiritual truths without a lot of clutter, and where they can connect with others of a like mind. Jodi has a great vision to reach millions with the hope of Christ and provide a support network where believers can encourage one another. This is consistent with what The King’s Ranch and Hannah Homes ministry does on a local level. It’s truly exciting to be involved with an organization that has been called to use web technology to inspire people to a better way of life by building them up in their faith and connecting them to each other.” —Lew Burdette
Lew Burdette is a seasoned senior management professional with more than 25 years of broad-based management experience in areas of business operations, strategic planning, financial controls, and human resource management. Lew has been the President of The King’s Ranch and Hannah Homes, Inc. since October of 2002. Before joining the team at TKR/HH, Lew founded Kindred, a successful retail Christian superstore in Birmingham in 1998 where he was President / Chief Executive Officer. Prior to that venture, Lew enjoyed a 13-year career with Books-A-Million holding several executive management positions including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer as well as serving on its Board of Directors. Lew’s heart is to help serve the needs of hurting and broken youth, women, and children. |

Kelly Carlton
“As a woman and mother, I feel strongly that young women need to be adequately supported and equipped to be all they can be in this life. When Jodi told me of her plans for Son Cast Media and her initial product offering of a website for Christian women, I was more than intrigued…I was hooked. I’ve been the young woman in transition from single to newly married and from married to new mother, and I know how lost one can become if resources aren’t conveniently accessible to keep the spiritual fire burning. And it’s so exciting to think that the website for women will be just the first of many resources tailored to meet the specific spiritual needs of various segments of the population. I love the idea of being involved in a ministry where I can be hands on in effectively impacting and providing support worldwide to those who need it.” —Kelly Carlton
Kelly Carlton has over 25 years of professional experience in financial accounting and administration. After eight years working in a national accounting firm and earning her certification in public accounting, she spent three years as a partner in local firm before pursuing a career in the non-profit industry.
